Certainly is this the fabulous Leicaglow, sharpness is an bourgeois aspiration.

In this example I say yes.  It's a charming picture and a novelty, but it leaves out the details that you will want in 20 years.  Plus it seems that the daughter is slightly more out of focus than you.  Might be more worthwhile if this was reversed.  My 2 cents.

How did your 6-y old find the experience of shooting with the M10? Did she enjoy taking the picture? If you manage to share your passion of photography and of Leica with her - that’s truly nice! Just budget for it :)

Your beautiful and talented daughter just saved me a lot of money.

No need to buy the 50 1.2 Noctilux anymore. Just juse the 50 Apo - a little bit of front focusing - and there you go!

Not always.

We all know what the great Cartier-Bresson had to say about sharpness:  https://www.yatesweb.com/sharpness-is-a-bourgeois-concept/

OMG, I literally had just finished reading Sean Reids test report on the incredible performance and sharpness of Leica's new 35 APO, and then I read your attached Cartier-Bresson quotation and attached story on sharpness and it stopped me in my tracks as I need to remind myself that its getting out to capture those special photographs is what matters, and if our hands are shaky or we don't have Leica's latest and stunning 35 APO lens all will still be quite good.
