Manual focus TL2 with M lenses

I recently picked up a great deal on a TL2 body and put my elmar-m 24mm on it with the novo flex lens adapter.   No matter what I do, I cannot get focus magnification at all, tried everything and managed to get focus peaking but not magnification...am I missing something or should I just shove the 24 back on my M240 or M4 and pony up for a summicron 23??    Help.  The 24 Elmer is stunning and I’d love to get it working properly on the TL2 as a 36mm equivalent.

Try the arrow up and down buttons on the rear directional pad when using manual focus.

There is no way that an M lens can communicate electronically with the body so magnification cannot be triggered automatically.

I’m not sure whether it works with a non-Leica adapter. I used the EVF and set the LH dial option to the peaking/mag option and then used the dial to change the magnification. I need to check if there’s another way of getting magnification (just reacquainting myself with the TL2 after 9 months)

Using a Leica adapter could help too but i don't know if it works the same way on the TL2 as on the CL.

I know , however I solved it , had the wheels locked inadvertently, now got it set up nicely with mag on the L wheel......as before, I’m a dope and should have R T F M  ,!!    Too much film fun of late, forgotten how to drive digital!
