what do you think of this lens? Is it sharp in your opinion?

Yes – quite sharp from about f4 and smaller. At f2.5 it is slightly less than crisp, but quite usable. Often lauded as a good portrait lens. An interesting lens – it was a projection lens that Walter Benser persuaded Leitz to create a camera /visoflex mount.

It is a lens for the Visoflex II system, the lens is from around 1950.

I should not recommend the lens if you are looking for sharpness. Here are some examples:

Absolutely correct that this lens was adapted to Viso at Walther Benser's request and influence. It is sharp upon stopping down, softer wide open. In Viso application, it is considered a portrait lens where some softness is desirable.
