Yes – quite sharp from about f4 and smaller. At f2.5 it is slightly less than crisp, but quite usable. Often lauded as a good portrait lens. An interesting lens – it was a projection lens that Walter Benser persuaded Leitz to create a camera /visoflex mount.

Absolutely correct that this lens was adapted to Viso at Walther Benser's request and influence. It is sharp upon stopping down, softer wide open. In Viso application, it is considered a portrait lens where some softness is desirable.
