david strachan Posted January 26, 2021 Share #6 Posted January 26, 2021 Hello Nash I've had to deplete my M8 batteries before... Best way was just to leave your camera "on" overnight with "Auto Power Off" set to "Off". This will generally deplete the M8 battery completely within 24 to 36 hrs. ... AphotoBerlin Posted January 27, 2021 Share #7 Posted January 27, 2021 Advertisement (gone after registration) Be aware: this will hurt your battery a bit. Don't empty LiPos to the max. The modern LiPo want to be charged again right after usage. There is no memory effect or anything (memory effect only occurs with NiCd batteries). With Nickel-Cadmium batteries
In English: Stay between 15% and 80% ideally to have the longest lifetime of the battery. Going to 0% and reaching 100% will unnecessarily shorten the lifetime and promote early aging of the battery.
