a.noctilux Posted February 18, 2021 Share #23 Posted February 18, 2021 Casey, I forgot to tell you that my now prefered 50mm is one of the less loved Leica lens line * Summarit-M 2.5/50 Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! - not to match with anything, pleasure to use if we accept some flaws (f/2.5 not so great, focus to 80cm well 10cm less, not "reputed" ) - one of the most "neutral rendering", not too sharp or too contrasting, nice color hues - Before buying, I was very skeptic using this cheap ( for Leica ) lens having other top of the line lenses, now this is my most used 50mm * lens line Summarit-M f/2.4 leaving the Leica catalog recently may push up or down the price, I don't know
 Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! - not to match with anything, pleasure to use if we accept some flaws (f/2.5 not so great, focus to 80cm well 10cm less, not "reputed" ) - one of the most "neutral rendering", not too sharp or too contrasting, nice color hues - Before buying, I was very skeptic using this cheap ( for Leica ) lens having other top of the line lenses, now this is my most used 50mm * lens line Summarit-M f/2.4 leaving the Leica catalog recently may push up or down the price, I don't know ' data-webShareUrl='https://www.l-camera-forum.com/topic/317350-matching-50mm-with-35mm-summicron-asph-v1/?do=findComment&comment=4143767'>

Fair price for a clean copy. The similar 50/2 v4 can be found for a bit less but it has no built-in hood.

Being just half a stop slower than cron, the size shrinked significantly. I've yet to see a convincing rendering though, it's perhaps closer to the rendering that's very familiar like those latest mirrorless lenses. Only new available at where I live so not exactly most cost effective. I'll wait for a cron to pop up while I'm saving for it 🤣 Edited February 18, 2021 by Casey Jefferson
