I never output poster size prints, but every opportunity for increased dynamic range and higher ISO with nice noise structure is welcomed. I would not be surprised if Leica has both in the lab for evaluation, but will hold back to see how well the SL2-S is received before making a call on which if either to launch. Am really curious what they have in stock for 2021. Maybe they keep this pace and start pushing better sensors instead of entire new body to keep the line fresh and up with the competition. At very large sizes, I simply think the more resolution the better to avoid resampling as much as possible, with the high resolution giving a realism and lack of “plastic” digitalness to the print. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...

Jeff You caught me not keeping up with the releases. I somehow had in the back of my head that they just re used the M sensor. It has to be somewhat easy though giving the pace the spit these out. I mean launch wise for body this must have been one of the busiest years for them. I’m not sure if the readout speed of the M10M / M10-R sensor is fast enough for video , which is why I did not expect it for appear in a SL body. 1 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
