_Michael Posted December 5, 2020 Share #1 Posted December 5, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I was on a short quest to locate some pockets of fall color here in Southern California. The Inland Empire area gets a lot of wind this time of year and those small areas that have color producing properties are often the victims of it. Sometimes you find great colors in multiple ways. This is an area called the Cajon Pass. This is a major vehicle highway, as well multiple rail lines making the ~4,000 foot ascent/descent. Welcome, dear visitor! _Michael Posted December 5, 2020 Author Share #2 Posted December 5, 2020 Curious if these look as soft on-screen to others as they do to me? I suspect I need to increase my resolution a bit to look better. These images look significantly better locally, even at low-resolution.

I think there's something about this site that makes the photos look soft. I also post images on the Fred Miranda forum where they suggest posting at 1200 pixels on the long side. They look sharper than images posted here at 2480 pixels. Edited December 7, 2020 by fotografr

I have a preset for 1200 on the long edge I have been using. I may go ahead and try the higher resolution and see what happens. I also can't help but wonder if multiple images and/or the way I add them has something to do with it. I have historically only uploaded single images. Cheers
