I've been using Capture One with my M10-R.

Hi Scott, may be it is possible without a special C20 profile. The M10 R is not on the Capture One list of supported Leica cameras. I don't have C21 pre bought.

I use DNG generic and do a bit of post-processing.  There is support for the 24 MPx M10's although they don't distinguish the -P and -D from the original M10.  In the next release of COne there will be "Pro profiles" for the SL2 and the S3, and there are already generic profiles for both.  The -R is still pretty new, and COne takes several months to produce an ICC profile.

Lol Scott did you hold out on the release.......this couldn't have been a coinsodence that I get a Leica SL2-S email in my SPAM (PREORDER). They seem happy they will have support for the SL2 in capture one and not to mention lol I see the Capture one 21 release..... Scott you held out on me 🙂 j/k. I know I'm gassed and hype now. My camera was delivered to Leica New Jersey. Below are notes......

The notes on your camera state:

replace printed board

replace leather

check, adjust, clean

C1P update New camera support

  • Leica SL2-S*
  • Leica SL (added tether support)*
  • Leica S (TYP 007)** (added tether support)*

* Live-view support is currently not supported.

** Leica S007 currently has preliminary Generic DNG profile support.

DOES IT MEAN THERE IS TETHER SUPPORT ON THE SL2-S?

Delighted to be able to report that the latest version of C1 V21 (14.0.2) now has M10-R native support with an ICC camera profile. It looks very accurate and has calmed the colours down compared with the SL2 generic profile I was using.

It is a pitty, that Capture One doesn't support my new Leica M10 R.

It does now.  But thee is still no live view when tethering an SL2.

edit:  I see Wilson also spotted the upgrade.  But I find the M10-R Pro Profile a bit exaggerated for skin tones.  Hope it evolves somewhat.

For M10-R, SL2 and SL2-S there is now a choice between  "generic" and "ProStandard" profiles.  If you go back to re-process an older shot with the new profiles, you have to change both the profile (which earlier might have been DNG neutral) and the curve setting, which now should be "auto".  The ProStandard profiles include some compensation for the effects of going to higher ISO, fixing problems that the M10-R had.

Scott,

I have taken so few photos with my M10-R, due to shielding since getting it (I have forgotten what the inside of a pub or a restaurant looks like) that having to reprocess the very few shots I have taken with it,  is no problem. I have not looked at skin tones yet. I was only checking the colour numbers on the 24 patch colour card I had an M10-R photo of, against their declared values.

I looked at an older M10-R shot with the new profile, and once I got the changes in that I mentioned, I saywthat the books and furniture in the background had gone from a little flat to lively, realistic colors, while lips had become overly bright red.  Maybe there is some AI at work.
