Black fringe - anomaly produced where there is a massive and abrupt black/white transition - some times as a compression artefact or possibly on the imager across adjoining parts of the array ...just a guess. Light fringe - there's a faint glow in the wall of another lighting group (candelabra?) and this seems to be the source of the various highlights that cannot have been produced by the dark swan's own light.

White fringe occurs frequently when the pp d’ajustement (like lifting shadows) is too strong.
