Awesomeness. I really appreciate your photos. Very inspiring. May I ask how you create the border? It’s very subtle yet effective.

cheers

Thanks mmk60, very kind. It's one of the options in silver efex. There are some starting points and then the effect can be tweaked until one is content. As a monochrome addict it gets me closer to the darkroom;-)

Don’t apologise for posting lovely photos!
…but you are making me feel guilty for not sharing more 😜

I have to say I am really enjoying this thread - nice to see people using their Qs and not just talking and arguing about them 🤣

Just another in the ‘why would you need a macro setting on a Leica Q’ theme 😉

I didn’t quite nail the focus on this one…

It is a cicada husk (the insect has split out of it already) —thousands of them climb up into the trees after spending years underground and make a deafening noise!

This is a very cool shot.  It has so many elements that make it good, no great, from lines to patterns to tones.

Thanks very much, really kind! The Q2M is crepuscular like an owl, I've been finding it's at it's best when a photo doesn't even look feasible. Like in this one where it was much more night than dusk but still turned out an otherworldly, hand held shot. #3060
