Note to M10-R users:

We need to pick up the pace, folks. We're about to be overtaken by M11 users. Currently they are only 5 pages behind us.

Shoot and post.

Cheers!

Although our party will certainly agree if I say that it's rather more about quality than quantity, I'll lower my threshold for what I find publishable and post the images I made to get acquainted with the M10R and especially the R from it. Here's one made for instance with my Summicron 35 iv, which I wouldn't have made with my M9, neither would I have had the time to change lenses at that moment. A severe crop, down to 1600p long side, but still quite 🚫 with an M9 or an M10 even.

My wife and I were in the southwest for two months and hired someone to come in weekly to care for our plants. Everything seems to have survived nicely.

What's the answer? Do you miss your M9M?

Sometimes, a bit. It has a unique way of separating subjects from context, or from eachother and of translating colors in greytones. I mainly shoot my B&W now with an M7 with the Scala film from Adox, which has a unique charater too, and it is more an adventure. The M9M came always out well, surprises were only positive, with very quick postprocessing compared to B&W conversions with a color M

Terrific image

Thanks. I find this a good example of the M10R’s good way of handling highlights compared to its predecessors. I just brightened up the shadows a tiny little bit.
