I'm noticing it in grass, skies, and skin tones in daylight. I preferred the M10/P colours, but I can easily live and get used to the R.

I've absolutely noticed it, and I much prefer the more natural colors of the R. I'm very pleased with mine.

M10-R colours.  Since making the shift from M10 to M10-R I'm noticing subtle but valuable differences in the rendering of colours.  The shot here is an example from a local walk.  I wonder if others are noticing the difference.

I agree. I think this is a more natural rendering than we've gotten from previous versions of digital M cameras.

Yes I do notice. And I like the R much more than the M10, which I sold because of its colors. It’s not an M9, but the more I use it, I’m liking its colors more and more. Especially in night street photography it handles the various light sources very nice. I also bought the Cobalt profiles to get more neutral tones, but I do not use them so much as I expected. The important difference with the M10 is that changing the white balance only gives good final results, if needed. With the M10 I needed saturation, the color wheel, white balance, etc.,  which was an endless search too often.

Here's an example: a variant of Bob Ross's happy little barn somewhere in the Piemonte. I cannot imagine this subtlety in green tones to have been able to show with an M10.

It is interesting, isn’t it? I’ve been looking back at recent work and the M10-R does things interesting. The low autumn light here felt unreal while I was on the hill - but it was real! 🙂

An odd corner of North Cambridge, site of a civil war encampment, the last of the old fashioned trolleys, and now a bike trail.

No single position captures the view of Boston that you get in a car in a sequence entering the city from its Northwest corner.  But here's a try (greatly cropped from a 24 mm shot.
