Could someone confirm this issue is only present when L mount lenses are used, please?
In other words, if I used manual lenses with not AF and OIS, would the camera operate "normally" in video mode? And if so what should I expect in the battery life time when recording 4k?

Mhmm, even so he might be right with some ‚technical statements‘ around limited battery life on the SL2 (unfortunately battery life is still in 2021 a serious challenge for a lot of manufactures/ camera models), but looking at the other videos at his channel he complains a lot around various manufactures and OEMs….not sure how that is helping…is there any he is positively thrilled about? …

Apparently still issues reported...

Sixteen months since first released and I've a SL2 in-bound thanks to the new free M-L adapter offer. I was however wondering if the SL2  issues discussed early on last year had since been fixed and if the new SL2-S-like firmware has been released for the SL2?

I will not be using the SL2 for video, so hopefully the issue now infamous issue discussed in the Youtube video will not be a problem for me, and I don't plan to use any Sigma or Panasonic lenses on the SL-2 which I think had some issues I read about many months ago. Other than those two, I only remember some other discussion about SL2 EVF issues when punching in for MF.  Has the EVF/MF issue  been resolved ?

I heard people using SL2 with M lenses only and they are really happy about battery life (matt day on youtube, for example).

I love the SL2 EVF. You can activate pucnh in either automatically when you focus manually on SL lens, or yourself via a FN button of your choice.
