ironringer Posted October 31, 2020 Share #2 Posted October 31, 2020 A classic beauty, captured on film. What model and year is that Aston Martin?
tom.w.bn Posted October 31, 2020 Share #3 Posted October 31, 2020 Looks really nice but does it support android auto?
NigelG Posted October 31, 2020 Share #4 Posted October 31, 2020 Unfortunately despite appearances that’s not an beautiful old Aston DB4 Zagato...but a modern reproduction by Evanta built on a donor DB7 chassis. About £4,900,000 cheaper than the real thing though... 1
Rona!d Posted November 3, 2020 Share #5 Posted November 3, 2020 At least it has the 12 cyl. (400hp/5,9ltr.) Aston Martin DB7 Vantage engine (and brakes)

Ah well; I disagree. Any self-respecting DB4 GT Zagato rep should be fitted with nothing more 'numeric' than a 6-cyl. twin-cam at heart. If pushed, however, I'd probably accept the '12' but only under extreme duress.............................. P.

I mentioned the powerful engine because it could also be a Mazda Miata engine (like Japanese retro kit cars have) 😉

Oh my word! That's even worse than those AC Cobra kit-cars fitted with 1.6 litre four-pot Ford engines. Going back to the DB4 GT-Z for a bit; The first time I got to see one in the flesh metal was a bit surreal. Through my studio work I was given a pair of press-passes for the very first Goodwood Revival Meeting. A colleague and I used to do some still-life fashion pics for one of the event's main sponsors and someone 'back at base' who knew I was very keen on motor-sport sorted me and my fellow snapper out with the passes. On arrival we headed to the infield and there, right before us, was a GT-Z. I mentioned to my mate that this was an incredibly rare car. He replied; "It can't be all that rare - there are four more over there"....and there were! Absolutely extraordinary!! The very next thing that happened was even more bizarre as I was almost run over by Stirling Moss driving a Vanwall. But that, as they say, is another story... Philip.
