wda Posted October 9, 2020 Share #3 Posted October 9, 2020 Hi Jim, your question is often asked and answered by many with their favourite techniques. You will find it very rewarding to use the search panel. My advice, be guided by the histogram and tilt the camera away from any over-bright light sources when metering before reframing your shot. It applies to most wide-angle lenses.

wda Posted October 9, 2020 Share #6 Posted October 9, 2020 At that point I was generalising when advising on my metering method. My main point concerns use of the search box, where he will find a recent discussion applying to M6.

From the outside, mounted on a camera, it was intended to look cosmetically similar to the first version, but the back of the lens protrudes into the camera far less, leaving room for the meter to "see" the target on the shutter curtain. The main "tell" is the v.2's much more curved, bubble-like, front glass element. Image also from the forum's Leica Wiki: Welcome, dear visitor!
