RRS L-plate for S3

RRS used to offer an L-plate for S cameras but don't anymore. I am currently using an Arca-Swiss L-plate but would prefer an RRS plate (magnetic key storage, QD socket, lighter, less intrusive).
I contacted RRS, and they wrote back that they are finalizing their plans and taking feedback. I hope they reintroduce the L-plate.

I use the same RRS plate with my S3 as I did  before on my s2p. 

All the ports can be opened with the old l-plate. I am not sure if the new design is needed.

I would be OK with the old design, but RRS is not selling it any longer. Does anyone know where one can buy a used one?
I assume that if RRS introduces the L-plate again, they would add the new features.

As ynp said, my S2 plate fitted the S3 beta perfectly - what new features would you expect as the body is the same as the S(007)?

The minimum I expect is to have any available at all :-). The plate has been discontinued by RRS .

I'll be fine with the old design, but if they restart production, it would be nice to have the hex key magnetic holder and the QD socket.

I saw that they had stopped production (mine swaps between 2 bodies), as well as M(240) etc bodies.

I never really liked how bulky the RRS L plate is for the S cameras, but I can confirm again with the others that it works just fine on the S3. I hope that you are able to find one SrMi. If they redid it, it would be nice to have one that would sit flat and not be so bulky on the side, but perhaps that would compromise on the stability...

SrMi,  Although I have and use on occasion the RRS L bracket/plate, I found the RRS B6-E works fine for the S3 and S007.  This plate works for the camera in the horizontal position.  If you use a ball head like the BH-40 etc., it will work for the vertical position as well.  Try:  https://www.reallyrightstuff.com/B6-for-E-3-and-E-5   r/ Mark

Thank you, Mark. I will try the B6. My RRS BQDS also works well, it is a bit larger but has the QD connector.

I use Arca's D4 geared head most of the time, so an L-plate is more convenient.
