I am looking to replace my Leica thumb support with something that can move the thumb grip farther towards the edge of the camera.   I find the Leica version does not extend far enough.

There is the Lim's thumb grip (which I can find on ebay) and the thumbie (which I can't find anywhere).

Anyone ever compared these two. Also, is there a CL version of the thumbie and, if so, why can't I find it?

Thanks.

There is a version of the Thumbie made for the CL. Steve, who makes them sells on eBay under the name steve250gto. If you contact him specify that it is the CL version you want. He is a very helpful chap and is a member of this forum but is careful to stick to the rules and does not promote sales on the forum.

Just an updated: Unfortunately Steve is not making any more Thumbies for the Leical CL.

In terms of Kim's thumb grip, does anyone know if it extends farther out than the Leica brand?

Thanks.

Not sure if you can tell from this but I posted an image of my CL with the Lim's Thumbgrip attached when showing the size of the Sigma 100-400, may give you some idea.  Second image.
