Young Street Cat

Louis,

Thanks, maybe I need to do a street cat and dog series. I have three shots of this one each with a little different direction of looking, but all with these incredible eyes. I'm glad the lens can do them justice.

Richard wellcome and i see that you have made your choice about the camera and it is a good one. Very nice street cat picture here. It seems a little bright here but i am sure its my monitor. I am very busy however i am going to give you a call as soon as i get to Istanbul. See you soon :)

I can tell by the eyes that this one is very skittish. I continue to be impressed by the quality of your b&w images from the RD-1. I think the reason I like them so much is that these digital images look more film-like than any I've seen from other digital cameras. I really hope the M8 produces this look as well.

Leica mann - It is cute and skittish, tends to hang out around this wall, it is the second time I got to take his picture, good thing because it took two times for me to get it right.

Memhet - Thanks, I figured you must have been very busy. Yes I made the plunge and very glad I did, I like the range finder so much I have a deposit on the M8. We leave Sunday for 8 days in China, look forward to hearing from you after we get back.

Stuart - Thanks, I appreciate your comments on all my pictures, even cat pictures!

Brent - I have been playing with the R-D1 a lot in low light and have been using 800-1600 ISO alot, These shot tend to have a grainy look to them and I like them that way too. I can't imagine how the M8 could look any less as good as the R-D1.

Robert - I wouldn't even think of cropping this. Lately I tend to not do very much cropping, I just like them as is. This was a really perfect place to take this, the step in the wall and its texture, the light coming through the big leaves of the fig tree. This was, If I remember, at f2 and I got as close as I could without spooking him. At 100% his eyes are incredibly sharp.

Ed - Yes, big scaredy eyes, as wide as they could get.

Richard
