But with decades of cultural studies...😎

My answer: It is not even obvious, it is absent. And you know it.

There is to much distraction by lens features although "bokeh" sometimes is part of wabi/sabi but in its original meaning. Money can't by it, keep it simple...

Oh dear. That bad. Oh well, back to the well. But my dear sir, there was never an attempt to "by (sic) it".  That is, indeed, an insult.  At least you must admit, I had the hutzpah to ask. Amusing that the cost of equipment would be an issue on a Leica forum.  Thank you for your input.  Be back when I get my head straight.  /s off.  Cheers.

Andreas, we both missed it: But your photo shows more delicacy (not Leica, Rolleicord):

IMO it is essential to have the cultural background or long and deep studies

Let this construct dissolve ....travel beyond the naming......the entrapment of  the ‘human made’ .

I would not have thought that there is so much weight behind the term Wabi Sabi.
I often don't like photos that were taken in the very narrow sense of the Japanese definition. Most of the time I miss aesthetics (yes, I know that's a western term).
If I have understood DocMarten correctly, the beautiful, decorative images usually lack the Wabi Sabi.
But I would like an extension of the term Wabi Sabi for myself.

It may be that it is no longer Wabi Sabi in the narrower sense.
Is it meditative photography? Minimalism, or maybe ZEN?

In any case, it is ANDOism, whether you like it or not!
