The guy on the left played the Beaver, a pre-teen kid always getting into some kind of mischief. The guy on the right played his teenage brother, Wally, who often had to come to his assistance. The lifestyle it portrayed was what would have been called "The American Dream" back then, with a nice home, mom always in the kitchen with her apron on, often baking cookies, and dad coming home from the office in late afternoon and being the one who had to deal with all the disciplinary issues and other problems. 1 Link to post Share on other sites More sharing options...
