I've just heard from Andrea that she is taking early retirement from Leica.  I'm sure that many people on the forum would like to wish her all the best.  She's given absolutely exemplary support to me (and I'm sure many others) over the years, and I know she will be missed.

Here's a bouquet from me:

Thank you for your help over the years, Andrea, you made the impenetrable Leica fortress penetrable and it was a pleasure dealing with you.  I hope Leica manages to fill your seat with someone who is at least half as outgoing and obliging as you have been but I fear they will have to search far and wide to find such a person.

I bid you a very long, pleasant and relaxing, well-earned retirement.

Best wishes,

Pete.

I don't know Andrea personally but I know that my old Leica X1 I sent to Wetzlar only a few days before the lockdown came back  as new in excellent conditions!

Wish all the best and a good relaxing retirement!

Andrea shepherded my grandfather’s IIIg to a second life at Solms.  I was always so impressed by the personal way she handled all our interactions.

Thank you, Andrea and may you have many happy years ahead of you.

Yes, I've had contact with Andrea (although I usually addressed her as Ms Frankl!) on the rather many occasions I've needed to send items in for service or repair (self-inflicted or warranty).

So, yes, Andrea (if I may take the liberty), very best wishes for a long, peaceful and above all enjoyable retirement!

Mr. Uwe Stiller is taking over, I had very pleasant dealings with him as well.

My very best wishes to Andrea for a long and happy, fulfilling retirement.  Andrea was instrumental in finally solving the long-running problem of a 'lemon' M7 by arranging it to be replaced with a new one (which has behaved as one would expect of a Leica...).
