Hi Stephan - yes it does fit as the filter (A36) steps down on the other side again. You just need to keep the screw of the filter in a different position than the one on the hood. For example one at 12h and one at 3h

Just to clarify, Stephan, I was referring to the modern M mount 28mm Summaron (your question being in the M lens subform). Dickie was, I think, referring to the original screw mount version of the lens. With the modern lens, the hood will not mount over the filter (E34 size) but the filter can be screwed in with the hood already in place.

Just curious which body do you use the lens with? I have an issue with the lens on M7.
