Yes, the 90 Summarit would be a great option for me, if Leica don't discontinue it soon. I live in Mexico, and here there are not Leica stores or authorized sellers at all. Leica don't exist. I would have to buy it used online. Or be lucky once I'll travel in the US (who knows when) to find one.

Optically I heard is an amazing lens. Hard to focus and slow to work why? Just curious

you will get discounted Summarit instead 🤣

Slow focus and long throw distance of 90 Cron is logical because its very thin DOF already. You put it on tripod and work on it slowly :D Alternatively, a few shots to get some luck. If one looks at DOF diagram, 90 Cron is similiar as 50 Noctllux but at much lower price and some footwork.

It looks like it's official. The 24 Elmar-M is discontinued 🤦‍♂️

Although they may be right this time, I wouldn’t put much stock in B&H listing items as “discontinued”. They seem to use that word and ‘out of stock’ interchangeably.

Clicking the 'Shop Now' link for the 24 Elmar on the Leica USA web site results in '404 Error - Page not found'.  Not a good sign.

I can't afford it right now, I'm waiting for a better world situation. I just hope that when it will be the time, there will still be some available is some stores. If not, I will look for used one.

Besides I never tried it or see it in person, do you know when you really feel that a lens can be a very good fit for your needs?

I live in United States and a local Leica shop was selling both the Elmar 24 mm and Summilux 24 mm at a significant discount.  Both new with full warranties.  If one desires this focal length and looks carefully you might be able to find it at a good discount.   Frankly, I am a bit perplexed that Leica is discontinuing the 24 mm focal length in the M mount, but plans to release a 24 mm Summicron-APO in the L mount.

You can ask the guys at Leica Miami, live online, in less than a half hour...

Why wouldn’t it be? They are still in stock at dealers. It’s not the apocalypse yet.
