setuporg Posted May 1, 2020 Share #1 Posted May 1, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Does the Leica M10 holster have enough room for an attached neck/hand strips, if any? The pictures show someone sticking/taking a naked camera out of it. https://leicacamerausa.com/holster-m10.html
Advertisement Posted May 1, 2020 Posted May 1, 2020 Hi setuporg, Take a look here M10 holster vs hand/neck strip. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
brunner Posted May 1, 2020 Share #2 Posted May 1, 2020 I have the Q holster, which is similar. I use mine with a hand strap, which hangs along the holster. Works fine, as long as the additional strap hanging aouns does not bother you.
poli Posted May 1, 2020 Share #3 Posted May 1, 2020 Actually I have bought the Leica m10 holster yesterday. Should get it delivered today or tomorrow. Will let you know how it is. Bought it secondhand and planning to use it combined with a wrist strap. I have some camera bags but 9 out of 10 times they are too chunky, heavy, uncomfortable and complete overkill. Neck strap is ok, but with hikes in our local forest, it gets kind of annoying bumping around. Let's see if the holster solves this or maybe adds another (fashion)problem... 😅
poli Posted May 6, 2020 Share #4 Posted May 6, 2020 Only today i have received the m10 holster. I used it with a wotancraft wriststrap and that was no problem at all. The holster is quite comfortable and i actually hardly feel the camera while wearing it. Gets some getting used to though, but so far I like it. inglis Posted May 18, 2020 Share #5 Posted May 18, 2020 thanks Poli, what is different, mostly about reaching for the camera? do you feel the camera is more secure?
poli Posted May 20, 2020 Share #6 Posted May 20, 2020 Hi Inglis, Well, I had to get used to it and realised later, I was putting it over the wrong shoulder. I am right handed, and figured out it is more practical to have the holster left. That way, you reach with your right hand to your left hip and grab the camera. Easy and fast. After that, and also after adjusting it pretty tightly (I am a tall lanky dutch guy) it is very comfy AND feels secure. I have been biking with the thing, no issue at all. Only if you bend over a lot, it might feel a bit less secure, but I don't think it will out. Also it is easy to swap a lens with the camera in the holster. That is an advantadge when you use a wrist strap. Before that always felt a bit complicated to me, and that's why I was always using a neck strap. Just wonder if you can put your M10 in the holster with a half case on? I
