Tulpenwahn Posted April 22, 2020 Share #1 Β Posted April 22, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Dear Forum, is it possible to use a Zeiss Batis f1.8 85mm (made for the Sonyalpha) on a Leica M10? I found an adapter: https://www.novoflex.de/de/produkte/adapter/adapterfinder/adapterfinder-produkte/camera/leica-m/objectiv/36.html But I wonder how to change the aperture. Kind regards Tulpenwahn
Advertisement Posted April 22, 2020 Posted April 22, 2020 Hi Tulpenwahn, Take a look here Zeiss Batis 85mm on Leica M10?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
a.noctilux Posted April 22, 2020 Share #2 Β Posted April 22, 2020 Hello, If the Batis is in E-mount, the flange distance is shorter than Leica M mount, so it's not usable. The adapter you linked to is for use with lenses with older Minolta/Sony mount which is "thicker" (longer flange distance) than M mount. The Alpha mount from Sony was for SLR not E-mount designed for mirrorless cameras NEX/Alpha7x. Alpha 7x ILCE, NEX need this type of adapter to use AF Sony Alpha lenses ... Some people uses this adapter: https://www.novoflex.de/de/produkte/adapter/adapterfinder/adapterfinder-produkte/camera/sony-nex-e-mount-alpha-7-mirrorless/objectiv/31.html this is the other way around to use M lenses on Sony Alpha / E mount camera.
