imstephenfung Posted April 8, 2020 Share #1 Posted April 8, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) I thought the Visoflex will automatically on or off when my eyes get close the EVF. Anyone having the same issue? Or just a normal situation on M10-D?
Advertisement Posted April 8, 2020 Posted April 8, 2020 Hi imstephenfung, Take a look here Is the visoflex auto control working on your M10-D?. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
AndreasG Posted April 8, 2020 Share #2 Posted April 8, 2020 It goes off after approx. 30sec, but doesn't restart when I get close again, I need to push the trigger slightly. Don't know whether this is normal, but it is not so important for me.

FWIW on my M10 ( don't have the M10-D) while in Live View with the Visoflex 020 attached, the Visoflex is fully automatic on/off as you describe when raising or lowering from my eye. Check EVF/Display Control in your menu. I have all three settings set to Auto on the M10.

The M10-D without display does not offer this menu functionality, and the FOTOS APP not at all.
jaapv Posted April 11, 2020 Share #5 Posted April 11, 2020 Maybe cleaning the eye sensor would help?
AndreasG Posted April 11, 2020 Share #6 Posted April 11, 2020 It didn't, washed my eyes as well...

ChrisGA Posted August 30, 2020 Share #9 Posted August 30, 2020 Thank you for solving this Problem. My sensor seemed to be clean anyway. But now I cleaned thoroughly and IT is working again.
scott kirkpatrick Posted August 30, 2020 Share #10 Posted August 30, 2020 (edited) I didn't realize the M10-D and M10-R (and I guess all the other conventional M10's) work rather differently. I can't see where the eye sensor on the VF020 is, but there is one. On the M10-regulars, you have to enable live view, but once you do the eye sensor cycles between viewfinder or LCD depending on how close your eye is. On the M10-D, there is no Live View button and no LCD, so the Live View starts (you hear the shutter pull back) when the VF020 is inserted in its socket. The viewfinder comes on and stays on for 30 seconds, and is restored with a half press when it goes out. Bring your eye up to the VF020 and nothing happens. But if you enable the viewfinder and keep your eye at the viewfinder, it stays on. Take your eye away and after 30 seconds, it turns off. edit: I see that I am repeating Andreas G's observations. jdlaing Posted August 30, 2020 Share #11 Posted August 30, 2020 Not a good idea to plug that evf in when the camera is on.
