I've been a customer at the Porter and Sorter since 1993 although less frequently since it was refurbished some years ago...

What are the chances! I've been an infrequent visitor when I meet-up with a fellow Forum member. On the occasion I took the above snap he had, just that day, bought a 28mm Elmarit ASPH to put on his M9M....which leads nicely in to....the other pub I frequent in Croydon, The Oval, just around the corner, where I occasionally used to play this...

I used to know the Oval pub well and watched Brian Lara make 400 against England there in 1994 when I lived in Lower Addiscombe Road.  I'm in Park Hill now although that's only 20 minutes walk away.

Here's one to go with your picture in post 285:

If only my playing with the guitar was as good as his playing with the bat......:lol:......BTW I'm about 17 mins away by tram (Birkbeck).

Moving on (about 20 mins) from the Moorish architecture of the Pilatos we get the astonishing pavillions in the Parque de Maria Luisa;
