This also applied to the Mercedes Benz W113 Pagoda and R107 models. My 1971 Pagoda was originally exported from the factory in Germany to the US. I purchased it from a US seller in 2013, when I imported it back to Europe I changed the bumpers & headlights back to Euro spec. Much cleaner looking, and as the car was originally designed by Paul Bracq. My 300SL R107 was a Euro car.

Graham (G4FUJ) Posted April 10, 2020 Share #138 Posted April 10, 2020 Nice garage! I fancied a 2002 Turbo, but not available in RHD so a Tii was next choice, never realised, but a few years later I did have a '76 528 (twin carb) for a while then went back to Land Rovers, via a Series 1 RX-7.

Thanks Graham! The 2002 Turbos were pretty cool cars for their day...back in the early '70's 170hp in that little body was pretty impressive. I wrenched for a BMW specialist mechanic for a couple of years between engineering jobs back in the mid '80's. The guy who owned the shop was always looking for rare BMW's to add to his collection and he did manage to import a turbo. Hard to do for if I remember correctly, there were only 269 ever built. I love the old Rovers...and keep my eyes peeled for a 90 series. However, in the US they have become quite collectable so prices are way up. 1
