Delightful.  At the Barnes Museum?

Thank you Stuart. Taken at Barber Vintage Motorsports Museum, Leeds, AL. Oh, and correction this machine produced in 1894, not 1984. Sorry. :0)

Patty -

I meant Barber - Not even my spell checker could have gotten it that wrong.  The Barnes is a wonderful collection in Philadelphia of mostly impressionist paintings -  Dr. Barnes managed to acquire more Renoirs and more Cezannes than I've seen in any other collection.  Of course the Barber is the source of that wonderful photo you posted several months ago of the Lotus 11s.  That photo alone put the Barber on my "must see" list.  Then you cemented that feeling when I saw so many other Barber photos on your site.

Stuart, it's a MUST SEE for all motor heads. Plan to spend a full day. I've been 3 times and never grow weary of the place.  It's a building fit for Renoirs and Cezannes. ;0)

I was saving this image for a potential future  'name that car'  puzzle post, which I suspect would have stumped most who follow that thread, but as tenuous as the thread's been lately I thought it would be better to show it here.

1957 Volvo P 1900 comnvertible - until I saw this thing at a vintage event in northern California a couple of years ago I had never seen nor heard of this model . After a little digging I learned that Volvo was appearantly  impressed by the then still relatively new GM Corvette concept, i.e., a two-seater 'sports car' utilizing everyday production-sedan components to expand their market and retain a devoted clientele. Fiberglass body made in the US and shipped to Sweden where it was mounted on a steel-tube  frame, with a P V 144 power-train - 68  were made, witrh the vast majority sold in Sweden.

Interesting...having owned a few 544's and P1800S's  back in the day this particular model's Edselesque grill makes both look good. Like you, this is not a car I had ever seen before. Good find.

I think the rear Volvo P1800ES ("Snow White's coffin") looks much more attractive.

Brock - It's a common misnomer referring to the Volvo as P1800S.  Actually the first "1800s" were P1800, with the P meaning prototype, and they were build by Jensen in the UK.  It became 1800S when production switched to Sweden --  hence the S

John - That P1900 probably would have stumped us in the Name the Car thread, a thread which has had it's heartbeat get stronger of late.  BTW: I think they only built about 5 dozen P1900 autos.

'67 Ferrari 275 GTB Competizione - Series II...................I'm much too old, financially cautious and concerned about the future to even think about another Ferrari, but if I should ever loose my head and do something silly, this would be my choice............I think it's absolutely beautiful, and that everyone involved in creating this masterpiece, Mauro Forghieri, Pininfarina, Scaglietti all hit their high points with this.
