John Z. Goriup Posted April 3, 2020 Share #42 Posted April 3, 2020 ..............and one from the rear. For '61, conservative old Enzo felt he could squeeze enough out of the antiquated Colombo-designed 3-liter V-12 to keep the Testa Rossas competitive and reliable, BUT had to eat his words "aerodynamics are for people who don't know how to build engines" when his engineers convinced him that a new, stiffer lighter space frame, while still remaining front-engined, but copying Maserati's raised rear body design and help from windtunnels could do the job. Hence the split air intake 'shark nose' frontend, and this was the first car to utilize this style of rear spoiler, which became pretty much standard for years to come on most prototype and GT race cars. pattyfrank Posted April 3, 2020 Author Share #44 Posted April 3, 2020 Kenneth Leroy Roberts is an American professional motorcycle racer and racing team owner. In 1978, he became the first American to win a Grand Prix motorcycle racing world championship. He was also a two-time winner of the A.M.A. Grand National Championship. In the late 70s, he produced a line of BMX bicycles. They are now rare and highly collectible. Produced by motorcycle racing legend in 1976, the bike sported chrome moly crank and various alloys. Very trick human-powered machine. Welcome, dear visitor! As registered member you'd see an image here… Simply register for free here – We are always happy to welcome new members! John Z. Goriup Posted April 4, 2020 Share #58 Posted April 4, 2020 Lot's of "ifs" attached to ownership of these early '60s Abarth cars - if you have the temperatment to tolerate their high-strung nature, if you have qualified people available to maintain them, and if you're able & willing to finacially support them, then these are some of the coolest, most enjoyable cars you can own. If not, you'll wish you were dead. M240-P / 35mm Summilux FLE JZG Welcome, dear visitor!
