Probably it does not make sense to ask this in SL forum, but I'll start from here :)

I own SL for a couple years and absolutely love it. But due to its size, I don't carry it all the time with me, so majority of my pictures are done with my phone unfortunately.

I bought Fuji X100F, which is a fantastic small camera, but it's not even close to my SL in terms of IQ, build quality and I don't know, feels different - I never liked it as much as I liked my SL. When I need an exceptional image quality I carry SL, and for all other reasons I carry my Fuji.

Now, I'm wondering is there any Leica camera of a size of a Fuji and with SL IQ and lens versatility. Fuji has fixed lens and adaptor, which is not enough in most cases. And that's all this camera has.

I have many SL lenses and I can make whatever I want with them. Of course, I don't expect to carry all these lenses in my pocket, but I want to be able to have a variety of lenses to choose from.

I sold my SL and bought the Sony Ar7IV and love it. The LCD resolution is fantastic and I paired it with three prime f/1.8 lenses that are small and light and remind me of the Q I once had.  The eye tracking AF is incredible as is the subject tracking.  Menu system is not that hard to figure out.  Just watch a couple of YouTube videos on how to set it up.  And I have the E-mount to Leica M mount adapter for when I want to use a Leica lens.  The Sony nicely rounds out my M10P and M10 Monochrome combination.  You should check it out.

Leica Q for all the obvious reasons. I am personally curious about the Sigma FP which has L mount so you could use your glas but for sure it would lack the leica simplicity. I realized that when I bought the Sony RX100.
So Q or CL or maybe TL2 which is on sale these days.

Hmm, I have one unsealed CL at home, I should give it a try. I purchased because I like how it looks and wanted to have it, but never unpacked it because I didn't really need it. Maybe it's the time now :)

Wait, you bought a CL and never even tried it?  Despite owning an SL that you thought was too big and heavy?  That seems a little odd to me.

Not even opened it :)

I bought it because I like how it looks, but as I have SL and Fuji and S1H and few other cameras I didn't have a need to open it because I wasn't sure if I'll use it enough, so I though let it stay unsealed and I'll see what I'll do with it. I wanted my wife to use it but she's not into photography so she rejected opening an expensive camera just for her.

Another option to consider is the Signa FP... Full frame, L-mount, very small and compact, great sensor. The only thing I do not like is that it is rather slow to autofocus in low light.

Only on a Leica forum.  Endlessly entertaining.

With you on that.....in the past I collected classical guitar....couldn’t really play  but liked the craftsmanship and looks. Cost a lot more than the CL and co.

NB The Sigma fp has no viewfinder, which might be a dealbreaker if you're looking for a replacement for the SL. I have the fp, and it is indeed a wonderful camera (build quality, image quality, interface, size) but I use it entirely on a tripod for video.

The CL is the true small alternative to the SL unless you're a full frame obsessive. I went for a bike ride yesterday with my CL and a M lens slung from from my top tube in a small bag. My mind was so far from the present day that when I opened the bag to take a photo I was surprised it wasn't my old M2 in there - similiar size, weight, feel in the hand.

I was going to respond but it seems you managed to find the CL answer almost on your own. Maybe check the other unopened boxes to see if a Q or M is hiding somewhere ...

Lots of mean people on this forum, it's so disappointing.

Mean?  I think it's humorous; so much so that it seems almost an intentional windup to get a reaction. Is it?  You start an entire thread to help you select a camera the size of a Fuji, that acts like an SL.  The CL is Leica's well known alternative to the SL, in a smaller package, even capable of using SL lenses without adapter.  Many here use both, with the CL the smaller sibling.  You not only don't mention it as a possibility, but it turns out that you have one, unwrapped, that you bought because it looked pretty.  It's not an inexpensive camera, too expensive for users of most other systems; not exactly a trinket, and a known part of the L mount system, at least by current owners.  You don't think that's even a little bit amusing or worthy of playfulness?  Unless you're playing with us?

I'm neither super rich, nor stupid to have unopened boxed hidden everywhere without me even knowing. I bought this camera, it was limited edition, meaning you can't buy it now. I wanted to give it as a gift to my wife, but she refuses to use the expensive camera so it remains unopened until today. I'll probably sell it as I don't really need it, because I already use SL and Fuji, so CL would be unnecessary.

In the meantime, an acquaintance who owned both CL and SL and is familiar with the Fuji model I have, confirmed me that CL would be closer to Fuji, than SL in terms of IQ.

The last thing I wanted is to defend myself here, but I hope I clarified the situation about unopened $4500 camera now. It's not wasted money, I can still sell it for the same amount, possibly more, since it is limited edition.
