How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “c

Those night mountain shots above are stunning, and that kid has real character. This thread has been viewed 2485 times. I would say there is a clear interest in M8 (M8.2) photography.

I am SO glad this thread is located here in the Photo Forum.

 

Being primarily of the R-persuasion myself, it's not likely I ever would have experienced all these wonderful images, and witnessed this awesome talent, had this thread remained buried in the M8 Forum.

Thank you Robert. That is exactly why this thread had to be in the Photo sub-section and not in the M8 sub-section.

 

Many, many members never visit the M8 sub-section.

 

I would love to see the people who seem to have posted for the first time in this thread, share their work more openly in the Photo section, in the coming weeks and months.

Of course I hope this will generate more interest in the Photo section. Perhaps this will serve as a catalyst for that? But for now, the M8 celebration continues. The variety of shooting styles and genres displayed here are awesome. Here's another one :-)

I've had my M8 for a week now.

 

I've used it with Nine different 50mm lenses so far. twenty something to go.

 

Nikkor 5cm F2, wide-open:
