The lady's name is Blue and she's guarding her gate, although I can't imagine her even barking at an intruder. She's too sweet tempered. Loves everybody!

Her, you can pet.

Hi Jeff

version 4 35 Summicron Asph

Lightroom/photoshop/Camera Raw. I use a filter in PS to “clean” detail I see as distractions and then bring back selective details in masking and then high pass sharpening. Camera raw adjustments to also add to that effect.
best

Thanks, Ken.  Good work, consistently.  But I’m confused on lens… thought ASPH only arrived with versions 5 (first) and 6 (second) , with v.4 being the ‘KOB’, non-ASPH.

Nice one Ken.  Reminds me of a Jeffrey Smart painting.

Yes, thanks David. I receive that as a compliment. To a certain extent I am influenced by his work. Although my urban abstract work preceded my appreciation of his work, I do strive to achieve a certain “stillness” that he seems to achieve so well in his paintings.   An ordinariness transcended! Could be a fine art Urban Banal style? The M10M has so much detail and contrast which is great however I like deadening that down in ways but never losing the hint of that super realism in processing. An old school friend recently connected on Facebook and she commented on my style, mentioning that she interviewed Smart for a story in 2013 prior his death.

I don’t have any literature on Jeffrey Smart’s work but I think my philosophy and approach to expressing that visually in my Urban work resonates with his.
Best
