Adam Bonn Posted January 9, 2020 Share #1  Posted January 9, 2020 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi everyone, I did a search on this, but my search skills are poor and I didn't find anything... I use LR 6.14 (on windows) I have 3 6bit coded lens and two M bodies My LR import profile is set to automatically apply adobe's lens profiles. This works fine with the M9 and my 35 and 90 summarits and my 50 'lux But with the M240 it refuses to work with the summarit 35mm 2.4 ASPH which is not recognised in profile correction. (the 50 and 90 work fine though) At first I thought it was the camera (I've only had it 3 days) - but the dng exif (and the info screen on the camera for that matter!) shows that the M240 knows full well that a 35mm 'rit is attached. Any ideas? Something corrupted with LR? Adobe's website has a bug report logged with support for this exact issue... but it's marked as fixed 3 years ago! I appreciate that LR 6.X is no longer supported by Adobe, but it seems strange how the M9 works with all 3 lenses and the M240 only two out of my three! Thanks in advance
Advertisement Posted January 9, 2020 Posted January 9, 2020 Hi Adam Bonn, Take a look here M240: Lightroom/Camera Raw: Leica 35mm 2.4 ASPH not recognised in profile correction. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jdlaing Posted January 9, 2020 Share #2 Â Posted January 9, 2020 I think, but I am not positive, you need version 7.0 to have a profile for that lens. Check with Adobe and their list of supported lenses.

Check with Adobe and their list of supported lenses. No, the lens is listed in the drop down of all lens profiles and LR is capable of automatically applying it with the M9 files, but not the 240 ones! jaeger Posted January 9, 2020 Share #4  Posted January 9, 2020 Those lens profile is not import especially for 35mm, but ultra wide yes. Well it's just me, don't jump me please.

jaapv Posted January 10, 2020 Share #6  Posted January 10, 2020 I think you are running into the limitations of using vintage software.

Both the lens and the camera are supported by LR. If I import an m9 dng and lens profiles are set to auto detect, then it detects the 35rit (and the 90rit and 50lux) If I import an m240 dng and lens profiles are set to auto detect, then it detects the 50 and 90 just fine, but not the 35 I’m starting to think that I need to do some sort of LR reset. I googled late last night and it seems to be sage advice.. but I’ve yet to find the motivation... in the meantime I’ve made a preset that applies the 35rit profile on demand so it’s more an annoyance than a show stopper.
Adam Bonn Posted January 10, 2020 Author Share #8 Â Posted January 10, 2020 resetting preferences and also setting up the default lens as the 35 'rit (which LR overwrites if it detects a different lens) seems to be working...
