Original Black Paint Posted December 14, 2019 Share #1 Posted December 14, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) Hi, I sent my M-D 262 to Leica a year ago for service. Haven’t used it that much since then. However I dropped the battery and it cracked the black casing. Battery does work fine. Now though every time I look through the viewfinder first thing in red numbers is 5d then I press the shutter and it reads 3.0. It will not even let me change the date anymore. Strangest thing ever and yes I tried every mode on the dial. Not sure what 3.0 is telling me. Any suggestions? and thank you.
Advertisement Posted December 14, 2019 Posted December 14, 2019 Hi Original Black Paint, Take a look here 3.0 in Viewfinder constant. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
jaapv Posted December 14, 2019 Share #2 Posted December 14, 2019 Well, maybe the battery is not that perfect any more... 3.0? Are you sure it is not SD?
LocalHero1953 Posted December 14, 2019 Share #3 Posted December 14, 2019 I think '5d' is actually SD, referring to a problem with the SD card (I get it when I've forgotten to put the card in). I don't know about 3.0

a.noctilux Posted December 14, 2019 Share #5 Posted December 14, 2019 (edited) OBP, To help you, I have these in the M-D (typ 262) viewfinder when "ON". 5d ( meaning SD card fault ) showed when I took the SD card out. 6'0" blinking with arrow ">" between 6 and 0, when I push the shutter button and lens capped, meaning 60 seconds long if releasing the shutter. First I'd replace the SD card, in your place. Edited December 14, 2019 by a.noctilux
