Advertisement Posted November 27, 2019 Posted November 27, 2019 Hi dkCambridgeshire, Take a look here Someone could be very disappointed. I'm sure you'll find what you were looking for!
wizard Posted November 27, 2019 Share #2 Posted November 27, 2019 Well, if is actually marked as a Summicron 2.8/35, it could be a collector's item . Doubt it though.
jaapv Posted November 27, 2019 Share #3 Posted November 27, 2019 That is a decent shop. I sent them an alert to the mislabeling.
dkCambridgeshire Posted November 27, 2019 Author Share #4 Posted November 27, 2019 It will not focus properly on any M camera without goggles dunk
jaapv Posted November 27, 2019 Share #5 Posted November 27, 2019 Correct. Usable with EVF, though.
dkCambridgeshire Posted November 27, 2019 Author Share #6 Posted November 27, 2019 (edited) I wonder if it was 'bought in' or PX'd … or if it's a commission sale? I also sent them an alert … Unsuspecting 'reserver' could have bought it. dunk Edited November 27, 2019 by dkCambridgeshire
luigi bertolotti Posted November 27, 2019 Share #7 Posted November 27, 2019 Advertisement (gone after registration) The page name has kept "Summicron" … but the description now says "Summaron"... … well done, Dunk !
ianman Posted November 28, 2019 Share #8 Posted November 28, 2019 It's still a bit misleading... it's an M3 version with no goggles!
jaapv Posted November 28, 2019 Share #9 Posted November 28, 2019 I mailed them that as well. Obviously they are hoping for a buyer who is using an EVF ! 700 GBP is vastly overpriced.
earleygallery Posted November 28, 2019 Share #10 Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) Well if the buyer get's something they're not expecting at least they'll be able to return it for a refund without any hassle! Sloppy of LCE though. I advertised a mint and boxed example (with goggles) on here a couple of years back, for £400 and had no takers, sold it on ebay eventually. dkCambridgeshire Posted November 28, 2019 Author Share #11 Posted November 28, 2019 (edited) Amended description now reads Summaron (previously stated Summicron) and includes 'viewfinder' but no mention of which viewfinder. They're being a little disingenuous by not mentioning the fact that the original goggles are missing. A 'rookie' Leica enthusiast could very disappointed with the lens … and as Jaap states, it's way overpriced. I sent them all the whys and wherefores ref how it would not focus with an M film camera. So much for trying to assist a dealer … i.e. prevent making themselves look silly. dunk Edited November 28, 2019 by dkCambridgeshire typo
