The new Fotos on iPad pro works with the Q2.

It worked on the SL2 to configure the camera, remote is somehow working, but no upload of the pictures when I use DNG on 1 and JPG on 2. Switched cards in the slots, no difference... I’m still on the so-called pro version for another 4 days, but the SD card reader on LR will be the saver.

Using iPhone XS, the pics in the camera downloaded as a default function and also the phone screen became a remote for the camera.

do you have 2 SD cards in the camera? Try again with only one card in the 1st slot

I noticed a bug, if you have two SD cards in the camera, it reports "No Images". If you remove the card in slot 2 it works fine

Really? What setting? RAW on one card, JPG on the second card?

With my SLs, I can't reproduce this.  One of them has a formatted 2nd card with no images, the other has a 2nd card with several DNG images.  Both connected and brought up the images on card #1.  Is this only an SL2 observation?

If someone with an SL2 feels like doing a good beta test contribution., try one card in slot 1, one card in slot 2, two cards, but one of them empty, and two cards, both with a reasonable number of images on each. What happens in each case?

this is an SL2 specific topic

I have tried multiple combos...it doesn't matter if the card is empty or full. Remove 2nd card and it functions, with both cards installed it does not

While I have been able to pair SL2 and iPhone X (iOS 13.1.3) initially, being out shooting it was a nightmare. No automatic pairing, so need to start this manually every time you should need it. But, even worse, while shooting the connection got lost (for whatever reason) and for maybe 10 sec unable to shoot because of black screen telling me that I have lost connection. This should be addressed asap...

Btw - maybe I don't get it - what is the link between bluetooth and wifi - because it appears that camera and iPhone connect over wifi AND bluetooth. Or am I doing something wrong with the set-up?

Bluetooth is for low power and low data rate, so is ideal for such things as permanently adding location data to every photograph. Ho ho.

Exactly - so why can‘t the phone connect with SL2 with Bluetooth only as long as it should only provide time and GPS info? WIFI only when other app functions are required?

In my experience, if you are shooting with two cards, one DNG, the other JPEG, take out the DNG card. The FOTOS app does not like giant RAW files. jPEG up,lad works.

I have no issues with DNG other than its slow...but this has noting to do with the issue.

Try just the opposite next time and remove just the jpg card. For some reason two cards is the issue. My 2nd card was formatted and blank

I've tried all possible combinations. Slot 1 or 2, slot 1 and 2, empty card in 2 with DNGs in 1, same DNGs in 1 with JPGs in 2 etc... It says "no photos".

To be honest I don't really care: should I need to move some pics from the SL2 to LR CC, I will just use the card reader and save 50€ per year. I already removed Fotos from the iPad.

Interestingly it worked for me even with two cards (JPG on one and DNG on the other) as long as I was using the test pro account. As I canceled the subscription FOTOS doesn't show any pictures on my camera anymore.

Leica really has to work on this...
