Fotomiguel Posted August 4, 2007 Share #1 Posted August 4, 2007 Advertisement (gone after registration) Almost by chance, I found a couple of snails in a nail and I shot them. A bit later I found another one in a grill. After that, I decided to shoot a series of snails. After my "Tourist World" I had no more fun with people for the moment. I decided to relax myself having walks in the morning and looking for specials snails. In a year of drought, the snails have their tactics of survival. They look for a high place, where they will find the coolness of the breeze. They stick to the most unsuspected places. They seal the entrance picking up humidity and dew through their conches. They simply wait the rain. I had the luck that very near my house in Alcudia had millions of snails, some of them, being placed in the most incredible places. Of among thousands of them, I have looked for, selected and photographed those that I found singular and they melted in a composition, tone and attractive texture. It seems impossible to where they can arrive. The nature is simply fantastic! All pictures are shot with the Leica M8 and the 75 cron. I think is a great combination when we look for the details. In this case is almost macro. Here is the Link: Zenfolio | Miguel Massanet Amer | Snails world Thank you very much!

ctb Posted August 5, 2007 Share #4 Posted August 5, 2007 I like your style, all to often we take these small things for granted, it is only when someone has the inclination and skills to do such a study is their beauty really brought to the fore. Very well done
