I know the SL2 is not out just yet, but I already had some ideas for feature requests that could be implemented over firmware in the coming months or years:

ProResRaw via HDMI
-
Should be technically feasible now with HDMI 2.0b and would improve the already impressive video specs
- Other cameras are also developing it, so I think it would make sense for Leica to follow suit eventually (Nikon Z6, Panasonic S1H, etc.)

24 MP DNG Option
- I personally like the the 47 MP as this means more versatility and I think people will eventually get used to it (just like 24 MP became the new normal after everyone thought 16 MP is enough)
- A 24 MP DNG would still come in handy for any event type of shooting where 47 MP is just plain overkill and would make the transition easier for people who are still hesitant for so many MPX
- This would make the SL2 the most versatile camera ever!

Accessory request/support
- Panasonic XLR1 support or similar device from Leica

Since we already hear that some firmware features will not be available until next year, it's a bit early to get Leica to focus on upgrades.  They probably have a long prioritized list already.  One thing I keep looking at is what the S1 and S1R can do that Leica chooses not to do (or fails on).  I also imagine that there is a lot of tuning to be done that we will not be aware of.

I'm familiar with Lumix Synch for the S1.  It allows a degree of control over the camera in remote mode that goes well beyond what Fotos 1.3.x offers.  When Fotos 2.0 finally appears, I will try to compare them.

Blimey......please tell me somebody is not going to start an SL3 post....I’m just recovering from the speculation and wish list for the SL2.
