With the SL lux. The additional pixels (above the 2s) made cropping easier. Standing inside the stable, the horse looked through the window outside, providing me with a nice silhouette.

The client just ordered this one on canvas, 70x70cm. As the image is rather cropped, I am happy it is taken with the SL2 and not the 2s. Curious how the print will look like though.

First violets this year - SL2 and Sigma 100-400 at maximum focal length plus 2 ply extender, i.e. 800 mm in total. Second one is cropped a bit.

Trickness,   Your post 8354 above...simply stunning.  Thank you for sharing.  r/ Mark

Mark thank you so much as always! I think I posted prematurely, this might be the better image. BTW, this was a random encounter on the street with some kids on their lunch break!

Urban Landscape - Train Art, Looking east towards the hills with two trains crossing. It was at a point past night where I was packing up the gear and my friend said maybe just one more before we go. I put the lens hood back on the 90-280 and saw the train in the distance and pressed the 24 second exposure. Then second train became visible and entered my shot for the rest of the exposure with the first train completely passing our location on the foot bridge.

Noise reduction was turned on and the camera set manually to f16, 100 iso, 24 seconds. There was only minimal clipping of which the final image had none.  The other variable we couldn't control was people using the pedestrian overpass and the vibrations and wobbles coming through the tripod.

Love the reflection of light off the tracks on the right.

Trickness,   Both photographs are most excellent.  If forced to pick between the two, the first photograph has an era of mystery and cause me to think more about the person.  Second is superb, but IMO didn't have that same effect as the first.  As I have written before, you are a master photographer.  You have a way of capturing a person's being and character that makes the viewer, Stop, Look, Think and Feel something about both the person and moment in time.  IMO, you have both the talent and ability to create such consistency with portraits of people.  Even more so with people you just met and talked too briefly on the street.  Amazing.  Bravo and keep creating.  r/ Mark

Thanks Geoff

It's amazing how sections of a photographs have very appealing aspects, usually related to light. I too really like the detail on the tracks (in front of and under the train), how the steel renders, the contrast of the minute and repetitive lines. This is why medium format would work very well for this style of image

Light Sources - I tried to find the Abstract images page but couldn't and seeing as though I just posted in the Minimalism section, this one goes here.  VE 90-280 26/3/24

As this series progresses, new avenues of creativity lend themselves to the evolution of the process. I think going forward the images which have always had an abstract presentation require further simplifications. That is, to be "more abstract". Up until now I have included at least one reality anchor via a structural component such as the railway tracks.
