Lets be honest, The Forum is a way to express frustrations about either our Leica equipment or feelings about Posts etc.. etc..  Somewhat Free therapy!! Anyone who wants to leave will take the condolences & praise & maybe stay, then again it may speed their going.. The Q2 is an electronic wizard & a fine camera.. Individual copies may well have faults, some users will find they cannot live with the camera (I could not live with the D-Lux4) that's life..  Verbal Jousting is part of life.. IMHO if you can afford to purchase a Q2, you probably have enough dough, so sell it, take a small loss and move On..

The original poster made this nonsense post just to get a discussion stream running with the headline “I hate my Q2” and too many folk have taken it seriously.

Cameras about lenses and sensors (in the absence of film) and nothing more so discussion of menus and features like wifi is just so much rubbish. If the that is important to any reader then just buy the latest smartphone.

The histrionics in "Tee Diddy's" original post are very similar to a butt hurt diatribe posted on the B&H Photo website:

Same guy, perhaps?  If so he seems to have, uh, "issues" beyond the Q2's WiFi functionality.

Poor WiFi functionality ruins it

I like the Leica Q2 and it meets my expectations as a camera. Where it fails, however, is with WiFi functionality. It simply does not work on a consistent basis, and by that I mean it works 10% of the time, as best. Honestly, it has made me hate this camera. I will likely return it for breach of warranty because an important feature simply does not work. Really disappointed in Leica. They should be ashamed. My experience is not singular. Just read the reviews all over the web on this issue.

I don’t think there’s a problem with wifi on the camera. The Fotos app has interoperability issues with iPhones (maybe Androids too). There’s workarounds, but Leica needs to take the app development away from the interns.

Strange that some people have problems with wi-fi.  I've never had an issue with the Q2, bluetooth works well and connects every time for me.  I only shoot DNG and files appear quickly on my old iPhone 6s.  My M10-D also connects every time provided I turn the camera wi-fi on first, wait for the green light to go out, then launch Fotos.  Will be interesting to see the improvements in the upcoming v2.0.
