How to upload images: Prepare the image as follows: 1.   The image should be sRGB and 8-bits 2.   Reduce the size to 2048 pixels on the longest side. (smaller sizes can be set, but are not recommended) 3.   Sharpen properly for screen. 4.   Save as JPG to your desktop, reducing JPG quality to produce 2000 kB (5000 kB for sponsoring members). 5.   In Lightroom these parameters should be set in the Export dialog. 6.   In the Forum posting or editing box, click “choose Fil

Been to New York City lots of times over my life, but somehow never got around to visiting the Statue of Liberty or Ellis Island. Always put off by the crowds, I suppose. Well, I’m here in town again to drop off my daughters at college and finally finished up my two weeks of quarantine, so I decided to head down to Battery Park and see how bad 5e crowds were before this Labor Day weekend in the U.S. 

The crowds were... just not there. My daughter and I had three entire subway cars to ourselves. Nobody downtown. The wait for security? Nonexistent. The security people manning the metal detectors and X-ray machines outnumbered the tourists ten to one. Our ferry boat couldn’t have had more than a dozen passengers. And this was just after lunch! Spooky.

In any event, the weather was beautiful and I got a few nice shots with my Q2. These were a couple of my favorites (ignoring those with my daughter in them that I won’t post here)...

Beautiful photos. A unique and to be remembered for a long time memory of NYC with no crowds. I’m very envious!

It’s actually kind of spooky. I took a picture pointed up Broadway from just above a Times Square (maybe 48th st). One parked car. No moving cars. Nobody on a sidewalk. No bikes. Last time I was in Times Square on a Saturday in the summer my cab had to let me out four blocks from my hotel because he couldn’t get there, and I almost couldn’t walk with my roller bag because of the crowds. Now? Empty.

Hey, everyone! This is my first post here! Just got a Q2 a couple weeks ago...adding it to my M9-P collection. Loving the experience so far!!! I've been shooting sunrises because I feel it a great test of a new camera's dynamic range, ISO, & color rendering. Thank you in advance for any tips, ideas, etc!
