Our best ever dog was a Blue Heeler, bred on my father in-laws property, but too small for his scrub cattle. She had a much more luxurious life with us in the city than her brothers and sisters on the farm.  Can't show you her picture, since did not have a Leica camera at that time.

Went out for sunrise, but instead I took this picture at dawn. The picture was sort of a mistake in that the exposure was 1.3 seconds. Well that isn't going to be in focus even with stabilization. So I thought it would be simply a throw-away. But we I looked at what I had, this picture was the most pleasing to me. The natural movement of my hands coupled with the in-camera stabilization resulted in just the right amount of movement to paint a picture. The picture itself is of street lights along the Anacostia river front of the U.S. Navy Yard in southeast Washington DC. By the way, Anacostans were the name of the native Americans living along the river when the area was settled.

Oskar (our Blue Heeler in the photograph, post 2238) is a rescue dog.

When he was about 8 weeks old, we found him on the road in front of our home.  We took him in and tried for two weeks to find his owner in case he had become lost.  He had no tags, no chip, no ID of any kind.  We concluded that he had been driven out in the country and dumped, so we gave him a home.

He is 5 years old now and we wouldn't trade him away for the Hope Diamond (or even an M10 Monochrom and a 75mm Noctilux! 😁).

First time out trying a "macro" shot.....It was almost dark when I saw this Amarilis blooming in the weeds.  Ran inside to grab the Q2 and shot from about 15 feet away.  Cropped in LR.  No other adjustment.
