Very nice. A different view of San Diego. Love the long exposure.

Hello,

I'm new in the world of Leica. Up to now I've been shooting with Canon ( EOS 5D MKII in combination with Canon 24-70 - 2.8 and Sigma 12-24 4.5 and 5.6. I sold the body and the Canon lens ( the sigma lens is still for sale ), and decided a few months ago to go for Leica.

Last week, I picked up my Q2 in the Leica store in Lille ( France ). I got some good explanation over there, and in a few weeks time I can go back to get some detailled explanation about the camera, and learn some tips and tricks.

I went last sunday to the beach and shot some first images. It was a cloudy day ( no sun ) - calm water, hardly any waves.

I post here some pictures.

Hope to show some more work soon.

Welcome. I still shoot Canon gear, 5D3 and a lot of glass. The Q2 is by far the most fun and satisfying camera I’ve ever owned. I look forward to your posts.

Thanks Guy for the reaction.

I'm still finding my way to post the images. Here's another one. At the horizon is the port of Zeebrugge, which is still good visible, despite there's no contrast in the air, and it's not a "clear day".

Happy New Year!
Unfortunately the size limit degrades the photo substantially, the original is sharp as a razor blade...

Hi everyone! Added 9 more to the samples gallery. Mostly portraits and one snapshot of a friend opening her Christmas present - Olympus OM-2N.

Happy New Year!

Snow rarely falls let alone settles in Southern California at the 5,000 feet level!  Last week we had a major storm with up to 10 inches of snow falling overnight.  The first picture shows children sledding at Mount Laguna and the second pic is at Lake Cuyamaca - both locations within an hour or so of San Diego.

Death Valley with the Q2. I feel it could be the only camera one needs to carry for travel and hiking.

Sunset colors after a long day of driving and clouds. Thought it would be a quick stop, but ended up staying for an hour - light was changing and getting dramatic every minute.

Approaching Badwater Basin:

Now a bit closer to Badwater, no living creature in sight except for the ones that live in the desert heat:

Badwater ~ 280 ft below sea level:

Love this shot!
