When you have the 47 MP sensor you don't need a tele lens. 😜

Happy 4th!

I received my Q2 yesterday!

Went out for a small stroll through the neighborhood.

Nothing fancy, just some first test shots.

Finally had a chance to snap a few images without a dull grey sky this afternoon. I've only had the Q2 for a couple of weeks.

My lunchtime view (through a vinyl wind screen):

Under the bridge:

Late afternoon sun. This was a 75mm in-camera crop:  nice!

Needless to say, I am pretty bloody happy with the Q2.

Koi pond.  The two larger fish were about 2 1/2 to 3 feet long.  I used a circular polarizer and still had to play with the photos quite a bit in Lightroom to kill off some of the haze.

Thanks,

Mark

Here is one from yesterday evening walking past my neighbor’s garden in Oakland, California

This was after sunset, and I included a circular polarizer for a touch of extra saturation, so the ISO got pumped up to 6400 and I had to rely on the OIS to do its thing at f/11.  In order to control noise, I shot a 12 shot burst at 20 FPS and combined the images using a “mean” combine in Affinity Photo on my iPad.

One more from the neighborhood... This was from the community rose garden around the corner from my house this morning.  Taken at f/2.8 and focus stacked on the iPad.  I liked the early morning light.
