t's amazing to me that Leica has priced the SL2 at only about $1000 more than a Q2. Of course that's without a lens, but still. I think it hits the right price point for what it is.

Thanks for your review, very good informations!

Beside the Q/Q2 is a amazing camera she is the best buck for the ban in the Leica Universe as someone basically buy a Leica Lens with a attached excellent camera for free.
Sure for the price of not being able to change lenses, but if this is a advantage or backdraw it's the decision of every own.
I was looking for a used M-10 but then stumbled over the Q2 and in the Q2 i found what i needed, a small, light, water and dustprotected camera to be with me always.
Hauling around the world my D800 pro rig was simply too heavy and bulky and i can shoot most of what i do (except underwater photography) with the Q2.

Sure, if i would have another 15-20K to spend for a second camera, a M-10 or the SL with a +/- 100mm macro and (if available) a +/- 180° diagonal fisheye would be my choice.
As i am not really in animal photography i do not need a strong tele lens, a fixed with tele lens with macro possibilities and a ultrawide wide angle for landscapes is what i use mostly.
