In fact this was my sister, May Shiu, and my two colleagues, Sue and Fiona - friday 2.30 pm after their hair do and make up at Betty's at the beginning of our Goodwood weekend. For those of you who don't know, the Goodwood Revival is the world's best retro motor racing event. Everyone dresses in period, and it's like taking a trip 50 years back into time. The girls book themselves into Betty's every year, so that everything is just right. Apart from the vintage hair dryers, note the period magazines.
