cbretteville Posted August 9, 2006 Share #1 Â Posted August 9, 2006 Advertisement (gone after registration) Looking up the stais in my house from underneath. I like the perspective and how the white staircase forms a step wedge of grays. Â D2 at 28mm, f2,1/4 sec (handheld), available light, ISO100. Shot in RAW piped through ACR, converted to B&W by using the channel mixer. Sharpening with Photokit Sharpener. Â Enjoy. - Carl

jmr Posted August 9, 2006 Share #2 Â Posted August 9, 2006 Carl, Â to my eye this shot has an almost organic look to it. It puts me in mind of the veins on a leaf or perhaps the pattern in a shell. Very pleasing shot.
stuny Posted August 9, 2006 Share #3 Â Posted August 9, 2006 Carl - Â Well seen and masterfully executed. Even though it is far from it, I think of a bisected chambered nautilus shell or a Fibonacci series
cbretteville Posted August 10, 2006 Author Share #4 Â Posted August 10, 2006 Thanks guys. I printed it on Epson matte heavyweight, the steps look almost unreal on paper. The D2 still manages to surprise me. I'm happy I converted it to B&W, in colour it dosent have the same apeal.
