Gentlemen, as we all know, according to Leica, firmware 3.6 is supposed to improve compatibility with third-party lenses. Well, I installed it, and now Lumix S-Pro 1.4/50 produces a quiet, but rather noticeable humming noise. Admittedly, it does not do it on the S1 body. Also, when the lens is mounted after a system reset, the camera says something like "lenses with high power consumption will reduce your  battery life". What's the hell? :)

I gave my 70-200 f4 a try after seeing your post and compared them to my 35f2 and 50f2.

70-200f4 very soft but consistent low pitched sound. Barely noticeable noise during focusing.

35 and 50 f2 doesn't have that sound at all when at rest. Focusing is somewhat noisy and I would say unusable if you have are recording audio over the lens but fine even in an orchestra environment.

I don't have the Panasonic 50f1.4
