Philip.

Hello Philip,

Nice photo.

That arch looks like it will make a very nice hotel & residence with all of those windows so high up. Being up so high will give people a good view. Atho, it does not look like it will have many apartments. Architecturally it is a very nice building. The people who will be living there will be lucky to be there. And a Historically significant building at the same time. Good all of the way around.

Best Regards,

Michael

'A Good View' is one way of putting it, Michael, and thank-you for the nice comment.

I don't wish to stray off-topic and I'm unsure how well you (and the other 'non-Londoners' here) know London but for anyone who might not be familiar with that location and are curious here's a little bit of geographical info. Admiralty Arch sits at the north-eastern end of The Mall with Trafalgar Square just beyond (and just visible through the arches my snap). Had I turned around 180 degrees and looked the other way down The Mall I would be facing Buckingham Palace which sits at the south-western end of the thoroughfare.

Anyone standing behind any of the windows seen in the pic above will have a rather fabulous view of the royal residence whilst those with rooms on the opposite side would be able to enjoy the sights of one of the city's most famous squares.

"Location; Location; Location" as estate agents are wont to say!

Philip.

View from an arch in Clovelly, a tiny fishing village on the Devonshire coast.  The archway was the entrance to a smugglers' hideout a few hundred years ago.
